Princeton University
We are tickled about the screening of the Quantum Activist which is to be followed by a question and answer with Dr. Goswami and the filmmakers on the prestigious campus of Princeton University.
For Dr. Goswami, a pioneer in the field of Quantum Physics, there is an added significance to this venue; indeed for all who patronize the history of innovation in science, this is a special place.
Princeton is one of the great academic centers for innovation in quantum physics. In addition to being the home and refuge of Albert Einstein for many years, the Physics department boasts over a dozen Nobel prizes including the recent work of Frank Wilczek and David Gross, as well as the ground breaking work of Richard Feynman on the physics of elementary particles which Dr. Goswami himself references.
Princeton continues to be a center for physics as just last month an important breakthrough is credited to Dr. Emily Carter for discovering a new way to predict important characteristics of a new material before it is created. As Carter says, “Now we can accurately apply Quantum Mechanics at scales of matter never possible before.” Dr. Goswami has stated that it is the predictive power of Quantum Mechanics which makes it so useful. At Princeton they are pioneering this usefulness.
What distinguishes Dr. Goswami from many of his contemporaries is his interest in the theoretical, philosophical and spiritual implications of Quantum Physics; and this interest has put him in conversation with philosophers and theologians as well as with scientists. Dr. Goswami speaks so powerfully in the fields of philosophy and theology that, in fact, it is actually the Office of Religious Life which has invited him!
Join us for this very special screening with a question and answer on the Princeton University campus!
