An Invitation to Quantum Activism

subtle-bodiesQuantum physics in the form of its famous observer effect (how an observation transforms quantum possibilities into actual experiences in the observer’s consciousness) is forcing us into a paradigm shift from the primacy-of-matter to a new paradigm: the Primacy Of Consciousness (read my book The Self-Aware Universe for details). Quantum Activism is the idea of transforming ourselves and our societies in accordance with the transforming messages of quantum physics and the new paradigm.

So what are these transforming messages of quantum physics? First, consciousness is the ground of all being, and all objects of our experiences (of sensing, thinking, feeling, and intuition) are quantum possibilities for consciousness to choose from. Continue reading…

Quantum Activism – A Course of Study

The objective of this course of study is to introduce the student to a new kind of spiritual living that will bring about positive change to the individual and in the world. The purpose is personal transformation but always in conjunction and synchrony with social transformation. The guidelines are those provided by the new science within consciousness rooted firmly in quantum physics.

“Never doubt,” said the anthropologist Margaret Mead, “that a small group of dedicated people can change the world, in fact it is the only thing that ever has.” The most current theory of evolution suggests the very same thing.

The long-term purpose of the quantum activism course of study is to create a core group of people who will be emissaries of peace, creativity, and transformation in the world to help bring about the transformation of our world so vitally needed for the next step of our evolution.

Why become a quantum activist?

Why should you become a quantum activist? Some time ago, the philosopher Nietzsche wrote, “God is dead.” What he meant is that the dominant Western religion of Christianity in its popular version was no longer able to act as a guiding light to assist people in moving toward ethics, morality, and spirituality.

In the last couple of years, many authors citing recent advances in science and technology have proclaimed this same idea, holding up the straw God of popular Christianity (a mighty emperor sitting in a throne in heaven doling out acts of reward and punishment to His subjects). This movement has culminated in putting up ads in London boldly proclaiming “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and get on with your life.” The implied connotation, No God to punish you, so why not become a hedonist? These authors and scientists are believers of scientific materialism, the metaphysical basis of post-modern science that has dominated the world through the second half of twentieth century and is dominating the scientific world even now. Kennedy Gave Us the Moon, Can you take us farther, Mr. President?

aldrin_on_moonDear President Obama, Just a few months ago you ran on a platform of change; real change you said, change in which we can believe. Well, how many changes have you made which can be considered real? Something so real that it can be believed in ? Something so real that it might inspire us to make a few changes ourselves?

Oh, yes, Mr. President, everybody in a position of leadership knows that we Americans need to change. Without making changes in our cynical, wasteful and extravagant lifestyle, the problems we face today in America and the world cannot be solved. But you can help by showing us your resolve to make changes.

We have become cynical, Mr. President. Today, we have hardly any ideas, philosophy, or principles to believe in; no convictions to guide our lives and enable us to make real changes. How did it get this way? There have always been materialist among us with their hedonism and epicurean philosophy of eat, drink, and be merry, but their influence was limited. Then starting in the nineteen fifties, there came the scientific materialists, and with the discovery of the DNA’s double helix structure scientists became emboldened to challenge faith in unprecedented ways. First came the assertion that we can understand life itself starting from molecules. We will synthesize life in the laboratory, they said, and show that no vital force is necessary, and certainly no God to make little green apples.

Then came high energy physics and their extravagnt claim of, “Show us the money for high energy machines, and we will show you the elementary particles that are the building blocks of all things. And knowing that, we will investigate biology and psychology from first principles. Nothing will be out of reach of our mathematical savvy.” Continue reading…
