Quantum

about

Amit Goswami, Ph. D. is professor emeritus in the theoretical physics department of the University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon where he has served since 1968. He is a pioneer of the new paradigm of science called “science within consciousness”.

Goswami is the author of the highly successful textbook Quantum Mechanics that is used in Universities throughout the world. His two volume textbook for nonscientists, The Physicist’s View of Nature traces the decline and rediscovery of the concept of God within science.

Goswami has also written many popular books based on his research on quantum physics and consciousness. In his seminal book, The Self-Aware Universe, he solved the quantum measurement problem elucidating the famous observer effect while paving the path to a new paradigm of science based on the primacy of consciousness.

Subsequently, in The Visionary Window, Goswami demonstrated how science and spirituality could be integrated. In Physics of the Soul he developed a theory of survival after death and reincarnation. His book Quantum Creativity is a tour de force instruction about how to engage in both outer and inner creativity. The Quantum Doctor integrates conventional and alternative medicine.

In his latest book, God is Not Dead we explore what quantum physics tell us about our origins and how we should live.

In his private life, Goswami is a practitioner of spirituality and transformation. He calls himself a quantum activist. He appeared in the filmWhat the Bleep Do We Know“, “The Dalai Lama Renaissance“, and the upcoming documentary “The Quantum Activist“.

The Power of One

DC-Day1--15I just came back from an important conference called The Power of One that took place in Washington, D.C.   I know, those words evoke all kinds of questions: what is the power of one?  How do we access it?  Everybody wants power, right?

I will tell you, but first a preamble.

As we embark on this wonderful movement of consciousness that we call quantum activism, I am constantly amazed to meet people who are already quantum activists in the true sense of the words.  One such person is Steven Lovink whom I first met at a conference in The Hague last March on the subject of the new science of spirituality.  At the last day of the conference, Steven and I had a delightful breakfast together in which we contemplated on how to propagate the worldview change from the current primacy-of-matter to the primacy-of-consciousness that the new science is predicating.

DC-Day2--2Naturally, I was not particularly surprised that Steven, being a very capable visionary, would organize a conference, but the nature of the conference and the people he brought together captured my surprise and imagination.  There were Swami Veda Bharati of the Hindu tradition and Sister Jenna of the Brahmakumaries—these are people you expect in a conference of this sort.  But there were also Mrs. Harriett Fubright, the wife of the famous late senator, who spoke of the importance of the arts and Dr. Claes Nobel, a relation of Alfred Nobel, who advocated environmental awareness.  A true meeting of people of the inner and the outer that quantum activism aims to integrate.

DC-Day3--1Steven’s ultimate goal is to organize a huge gathering at the Lincoln Memorial on 10-10-10 (Oct 10, 2010) to unleash the power of one to bring change beginning with the worldview change that we so badly need.  Agreed, it may be just symbology, but who says symbols are not important?

Finally, what is the power of one?  It is the idea that even one individual has the power to disturb the universe, to bring about real change.  How do we access it?  Quantum physics says that we become empowered with the power of one when our individual intention resonates with the movement of the cosmic consciousness, the cosmic One. The Quantum Doctor Coursework

IQUIMA 22 hour coursework with Dr. Goswami is now available at the International Quantum University of Integrated Medicine (IQUIM). An integral medicine is developed in this course based upon the principles of quantum physics and the primacy of consciousness.

The coursework shows how the metaphysical principles underlying both conventional allopathic medicine and the various techniques of alternative medicine can all be incorporated within the metaphysics of the primacy of consciousness.

We then explore a new typology of disease and healing techniques from this new perspective, sharing how the quantum field and the primacy of consciousness thinking integrate conventional and alternative medicine in a paradox-free fashion.

Then an exploration follows of alternative medicine techniques such as Chinese medicine and acupuncture, the East Indian medicine system of Ayurveda, chakra medicine, homeopathy, mind-body medicine, Christian Science and spiritual healing. Finally we explore the healing path to spiritual growth.

Enrichment.Com Interviews Dr. Amit Goswami

n666275627_29261Mike Schwager, Editor-in-Chief of Enrichment.com, recently interviewed Amit Goswami:

MS: Dr. Amit Goswami, it’s really wonderful to have you here on Enrichment.com. Welcome

AG: Thank you.

MS: You are an adherent to the view that it’s neither random evolution as Darwin posited, nor so-called Creationism minus Evolution, but Evolution guided by Consciousness or Intelligent Design. Is that right?

AG: Yes that is right. In fact, I point out that data, if looked upon objectively without emotion, without attachment to particular theory, has been pointing to this direction for quite some time. There are the fossil gaps, there is the absolutely indisputable biological era of time from simplicity to complexity. You just mentioned two pieces of data which cannot be understood in any other way but intelligent design through quantum evolution. For in the past, you’ve had epochs of evolution in which quantum leaps of creativity took place.

MS: I see. Doctor, do these two words, Consciousness and Intelligence, carry the same meaning for you?

AG: In my usage, I don’t make much distinction because of the following reason. When this phrase, so-called artificial intelligence was coined a long time ago in the ‘50’s, the idea was that intelligence is a characteristic of the mind which can be reciprocated by machines. The belief was probably one of the most pressing beliefs of materialism; and materialists wanted to show this and once and for all prove that the human mind is nothing more than a machine. But it turns out that in 30 years, not only that the machinists have not made much progress towards producing real intelligent machines, but the word intelligence has become clear to us.
