Hello everyone, we are going to talk about something very basic: what it takes to become a quantum activist and what we teach in our university, Quantum Activism Vishwalayam.
Quantum activism is a revolutionary idea that is as fundamental in its construct as it is audacious, if you want, in what it can achieve. It’s about the complete transformation of the world as we know it. And of course, everything starts with our own transformation.
So that’s the first thing, we transform ourselves and then transform the world. All the insights and the teachings that we teach in this university that I have set up with the help of my collaborators are a lot about being in harmony with the world’s wisdom traditions, especially the Indian Vedanta, traditional Yoga, Buddhist tradition, Christianity. The integration of science and spirituality that is taught in our school has a very old lineage, actually. It’s a lineage which extends back 5,000 years or more. And these teachings form the backbone of our transformation education. And it’s also something that keeps developing. We all keep transforming.
Usually when you say ordinary activism, one would concentrate on just changing the society or doing something.., without affecting yourself; but, actually, in quantum activism we seek the societal change through the power of self-transformation, where each of us is endeavouring to change our own nature, to actually transform. Change is not the proper word for that. Or as Mahatma Gandhi said, the tendencies in the world would also change once we do that. In the material science, you have a lot of talks, discussions about technologies, about material prosperities, all kinds of shortages of essential resources.
We emphasize in our courses about our own capacities, existing but unexplored yet potential, but also about what can be a barrier in our transformation. The understanding of the quantum principles underline all our education and living for so much time, and there is a term which is again a Sanskrit term, Vasudeva Kutumbakam – the world is a family. And that’s one of the main guiding principles in our school. Somehow this principle was lost to the world during a lot of times and cycles. We set up this transformative school in India and we meet in Jaipur for an intensive in-person training 10 days per year, the rest is online education with weekly live webinars. Read here the story of how we started this school.
If you want just singularly materialistic pursuit, that one it’s not really offering a real sustainable solution. We see where we are now. Everything is so changed in the last years. The more we are dominated by science technology, the more we are separated, isolated, the more we get in competition and we are stuck. It’s very easy to be stuck.
The principles of quantum activism are based on the solid foundations of the discoveries of quantum physics and it really reestablishes the primacy of consciousness over matter. It integrates also the sophistication of modern science and technology with the spiritual wisdom of civilizations. And also it gives a framework to tackle the paradoxical challenges in all areas of life. We teach and apply the quantum principles to health care, psychology, business, education, politics, spirituality, and I think you cannot continue to separate them so much, as the past spiritual traditions were doing. It’s about really transforming ourselves, transforming the world view. The purpose of all the quantum activism and transformation education that comes along is to help us bring congruence, coherence in our lives, coherence and congruence between the way we think, the way we live, and also the way we make our living.
So how can one become a quantum activist? Well, you know, these ideas that we are talking about, the integration of science and spirituality in life and society – everybody knows that it has to be done. People try to do it differently, that’s all. Even materialists have not abandoned values. In every country, there is one party which would always talk about the human values. The only difference is that they think, the Democrats in America and generally scientific materialists, they think that the values are human made.
The religions, too, said, yes, values are real. They really do exist. But the way they pitched it is that we, the leaders of the religion, we are the knowledgeable people. Religion does require some transformation. Following the values does require some transformation. And they pitched that if you don’t do these things, whatever way you do it, transform or not, if you don’t do it, God will punish you. Religious ideas like, you will suffer in hell after death, those things don’t make much sense today. At least that much science has done good, discrediting religious concepts like hell.
But of course, the value question, as I said, could not be solved by scientific materialism. Just declaring matter is everything does not make it so. We know that consciousness is basic because we know ourselves. And every day, neuroscience is discovering something that the materialist model of consciousness cannot explain. If you take creativity, spirituality, love – a considerable number of people, maybe something as large as 10% practice them. So there is no doubt that if some people can do it, everybody can do it. The only thing is that they’re not part and parcel. These circuits are not built into our brain. Doing them means that we have to really discover them, and make them part of our lives. And that is what we call transformation. If people don’t do it, then imposing values like religions did, or pretend values, it makes no difference. And if we don’t change, then the world will go the way it’s going. Civilization would be lost.
There is not much choice here. Good news is that quantum science is actually showing us that spiritual traditions were right. Consciousness is the ground of being and objects are possibilities of consciousness to choose from. And we really can choose, except that choosing is not easy. We have to discover the quantum principles and learn to follow them and that requires some transformation.
Mainly getting over the brain’s tyranny, its dominance over us. How do you know that the brain dominates you? Just close your eyes and try not to think for just a few seconds. You are deliberately not thinking, but the thoughts come anyway. Who is doing this? The brain is doing this. Of course, scientific materialists say, see, I showed, I told you, brain is the thing, brain is you. But if brain were you, of course, you could not control the brain so easily either.
But here is the thing: if you meditate for a while, you will find that you can focus and you can give up the brain supremacy over you. Not so difficult. But that is not everything. The brain has only memories of the past, things that are known. In order to really prove to yourself and to get over the tyranny of the brain, the domination of the brain over you, you really have to dedicate yourself to explore new things, new thoughts, new feelings, things that you have not done before, things that could not be in the brain.
That’s what the talented people in the society, that’s what the people who have led us to civilization in the past, that’s what they did. That’s the secret. Part of the secret was known even before. Yes, meditation was part of the secret, but there is more to it. Those principles we have discovered explicitly and verified them in quantum physics. We will discuss them again in a future newsletter.
I invite you to check our courses and join us in this transformational journey. We offer several Certification programs – check them here that are entirely online. We also offer advanced transformation programs that require an annual proximity interaction, besides the pre-recorded courses and weekly live webinars, where we explain thoroughly and apply the quantum principles to the following areas: we have a Master’s program in Psychology – check it here, and PhD’s in Yoga and Naturopathy, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, and Management – check them here
